Forecasting the future of rural funding

Running a farm or other agricultural business can be tough. Competition with other producers, and processors and retailers continually pushing for lower prices, can make turning a profit difficult. There are a number of programmes in the UK that help fund rural businesses. But with constantly changing economic and political climates, many feel uncertain of their eligibility and how their support will change in future.

Charles Trotman, Senior Rural Business and Economics Advisor for the CLA (Country Land & Business Association), is regularly contacted by concerned business owners on the uncertainty around rural funding in post-Brexit Britain. To address the worries and questions of those who may be affected, Charles will be giving a seminar on the subject at one of the farming industry’s biggest events, the Farm Business Innovation show.

Also talking at this event will be Keith Wellings, Head of Customer Improvements and Events at the Rural Payments Agency. His seminar will explain the basic payment scheme’s past, present and future.

Getting the insight and advice from Charles and Keith, as well as the other 200 informative seminars speakers talking over the 9th & 10th November, will prove invaluable to anyone who currently receives or thinks they may qualify for funding.

The only way to see them and experience everything the Farm Business Innovation show has to offer is by registering for your free ticket here.
