PLANS LODGED FOR £1M ICE AGE ATTRACTION AT WEST MIDLAND SAFARI PARK

West Midland Safari Park have just submitted a planning application to develop an interactive Ice Age themed attraction at their park in Worcestershire. 

If Wyre Forest District Council approve the plans, the attraction will feature a variety of static and animatronic real scale extinct animals from the ice age period as well as realistic environments from that era such as chilly ice caves and a steamy eight-meter high volcano that visitors will be able to walk through.

The planning application states that the visitor attraction’s goal is to be “educational” and that it will seek to “capture the imagination of visitors”. West Midland Safari Park wants to fully immerse visitors by making them feel they are roaming through an Ice Age landscape.

The consultation period for this application is currently open and will run until Thursday the 14th of September.
