Alpha Rail metal railings installed in Lake District

Alpha Rail fabricate and install a range of galvanized metal work including metal railings, gates, Juliette balconies, estate fencing and pedestrian guardrail. They were approached by The Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA) to install railings focusing on pedestrian and cyclist safety and overall area aesthetics.

Alpha Rail installed “BOW TOP METAL RAILINGS” - Here’s what Alpha Rail said about the project:

Although a popular tourist attraction, research conducted by the Lake District National Park Authority (LNDPA) found that areas of The Glebe has significantly deteriorated. The area was identified as a strategic regeneration location in need of investment to transform it into a world class visitor destination.

The focus of the Windermere Waterfront Programme is to maintain tourist numbers in Bowness Bay and The Glebe and ensure its continued economic contribution to the area.

Phil Ball, Sales Director at Alpha Rail commented, “We were proud to play our part in a project where our metalwork products have contributed towards increasing the pedestrianised areas of such a busy tourist destination. We ensured the metal railings met the technical specification perfectly and were installed on time as promised.”

Kevin Griffin, Quantity Surveyor at the Casey Group said "A key focal point of this project was to install metal railings and gates that were fit for purpose and not detract from the natural beauty of this popular Lake District tourist attraction. Alpha Rail delivered on this brief, and I am very happy with the service they provided."
